Photography, video, and ad creative

We shoot the photo and video your ads and product pages run on

Ecommerce product photography, video, and ad creative for Shopify brands doing $1M to $5M. Shot for your products rather than pulled from a library, and produced in enough volume to keep a paid account fed.

Creative is where paid performance is decided now. Targeting and bidding narrowed to a few decisions years ago. What is left is how many distinct concepts you have running and how fast you can replace one that stops working.

What comes out of a shoot

One shoot should produce months of assets, not a folder of twelve photos. Most brands at this size are still shooting on a phone between other jobs, which is how everyone starts and also why the ad account runs out of creative by week three.

01White background stillsFor product pages, marketplaces, and anywhere the product needs to be legible on its own.
02Lifestyle stillsFor ads, email, and social, where the job is context rather than clarity.
03Video in three ratiosVertical, square, and horizontal, because a single crop does not survive four placements.
04Creator-style videoShot to look unproduced, which outperforms polished work in most DTC categories.
05Motion from the stillsThe cheapest video you will ever get.
06Copy written against the imagesRather than after them.

The reformatting matters as much as the shooting. A single setup, shot properly, yields dozens of usable assets across every placement you run.

Process

How a shoot runs

01
You send products

We handle the rest, including the shot list, built from what your ad account and your product pages actually need rather than from a generic checklist.

02
Batches on a schedule

Creative arrives before performance drops rather than in response to it. For brands running paid, that usually means a shoot every six to eight weeks.

03
Delivered to your Drive

You review a gallery, we deliver everything in the formats and sizes each platform wants, and the files land in your Drive rather than ours.

The argument

Why volume beats polish

A paid account running three ads has a supply problem, not a settings problem. Creative fatigue, meaning the point where an audience has seen an ad enough times that response drops, arrives faster at higher spend, and the only answer is having the next concept ready.

What a shoot is for

Not one perfect hero image. Fifteen distinct concepts you can test, kill, and replace without waiting on a production schedule.

What it costs

Ongoing, monthly
$3,000 to $7,000
a month, by volume
One-off shoot
$1,500 to $8,000
quoted separately

The monthly covers a shoot cycle and the editing, reformatting, and copy that come with it. Most brands run it monthly alongside paid, because a single shoot solves this quarter and not the next one.

How this sits with a retainer

Shoots are booked separately from the monthly program. The retainer covers everything we build from your assets, meaning statics, edits, and reformatting.

When you need new assets, we produce them as a scoped project and the output flows straight into the slate. That keeps the shoot budget and the production budget from quietly eating each other.

What does ecommerce product photography cost?

Ongoing production runs $3,000 to $7,000 a month depending on volume, covering a shoot cycle plus editing, reformatting, and copy. One-off shoots are booked separately. A product catalog shoot of thirty to forty edited images runs $1,500 to $3,500, a lifestyle half-day runs $2,000 to $4,000, and a full day runs $4,000 to $8,000. Most brands running paid end up on the monthly because a single shoot covers about one quarter.

Do we need to send you our products?

Yes, and that is usually the only thing we need from you. Send the products and a sense of what you want them next to. The shot list comes from what your ad account and product pages are missing, which we work out beforehand, so you are not being asked to art direct anything.

Do you use models or creators?

Both, depending on what the category needs. Creator-style content shot to look unproduced tends to outperform studio work in DTC ads, and studio work still wins on product pages where the job is showing the product clearly.

How many assets do we get?

Enough to run for the quarter, which for a brand on paid usually means fifteen or more distinct concepts across every format. The count matters less than the variety, since testing needs different ideas rather than different crops of one idea.

Can you work with photography we already have?

Yes. Existing assets get reformatted, recut, and turned into motion, which is often the fastest way to get a stalled ad account moving before a new shoot happens.

Do you write the copy too?

Yes, written against the images rather than after them. Ad copy, email copy, and product descriptions where they are part of the scope.
